Nike being the goddess of victory, this clematis gets its namesake from the Polish monument Warsaw Nike commemorating the soldiers and civilians whom fought during the second world war. Prune in late winter or early spring. With sharp and sterile pruners remove dead stems and to control height, cut plants 6–9 inches above nice healthy buds. Can tolerate a touch of shade.
