Campanula glomerata 'Superba'
[ height 1-3 ft., flower violet-purple in summer, sun, spreader]
BELLFLOWER Thrive in any moist fertile soil. Very useful in the garden and essential to garden designers because of their blue color. Kinds range in height from stately border plants to rock garden specimens. They prefer cool soil for their roots. C. ‘Superba’ – The species is known for abundant clusters of flowers packed onto one stem, which can last for up to 3 weeks. Unfortunately it is also known for its aversion to high heat and humidity. The cultivar C. glomerata ‘Superba’ can withstand these conditions far better than the species. Spreading in habit, but with erect flower spikes of violet flower clusters. Long bloom, good cut flower.
