[ height 4 in., flower mauve blue in summer to early fall, sun to part shade, spreader ]

BELLFLOWER Thrive in any moist fertile soil. Very useful in the garden and essential to garden designers because of their blue color. Kinds range in height from stately border plants to rock garden specimens. They prefer cool soil for their roots. C. ‘Birch Hybrid’ – A good groundcover type of bellflower with nice saturated blue flowers.  Not an invasive spreader, but does nicely work its way about stonework.  Flowers are held upright along trailing stems.
