Anemone hybrida (x) JAPANESE ANEMONE Sound perennials with colonizing roots that grow best in an open position in deeply dug, heavy, moist and fertile loam soil. They provide a durable display of both flower and foliage. Long and free blooming with leaves that are dark green, lobed, pointed and vinelike. Anemone tomentosa 'Robustissima' flowers earlier than the other Japanese Anemones. It is an extremely vigorous grower and useful where such a plant is desirable. Its leaves are gray green beneath.
